I know I should go, I want to go, I will feel better if I go, but I’m not feeling it.

I’m tired, I wouldn’t get into it, I lack the energy.

Is it reasonable to skip exercise because of lack of sleep ?

I don’t think it is reasonable. I think it’s an easy out.

Why ?

Because exercise will generate energy. Because exercise will help me get a good night’s sleep tonight, so I will have energy tomorrow.
Because habits need repetition to grow strong.

I will write more when I get back from the gym :)

Today was the first day of our new gym subscription. Today’s exercise equipment is too good I tell yah! It can isolate muscles that usually don’t get much work, you leave the gym feeling great but the next day the aches and pains set in.

What’s this I hear you ask ? The hearty souls at HabitMix getting their butts kicked by a single gym workout ?? Fear not, despite my complaining it felt great to get on the treadmill and push myself.

I’m going to be starting slowly, a light routine 3 days a week. The key is to get into the habit of going and enjoying it.

Back when I was a complete couch potato I couldn’t understand how anyone could enjoy exercise, it looked too much like pain.  But actually the feeling after a good workout is hard to beat.

Exercise clears the mind and strengthens the body.

If you’ve recently taken up a gym membership tell me about your goals and plans in the comments.

Ok, I am off to tick off todays habits!
